In-House Grown Cannabis
At High Level Health, we pride ourselves on growing premium, top-shelf cannabis. A main driving force behind our growing style is health-derived ethics. We use the term “natural” to showcase the best methods, replicating how cannabis grows in nature. Each plant is carefully hand-watered and inspected daily for quality and health. Throughout our drying process, we monitor for temperature, humidity, yeast & mold. We also employ UV air cleaners to ensure that the product is clean and healthy. After the cannabis has dried, we cure it for another two weeks in jars. At High Level Health, we have four grow facilities in Colorado and one in Michigan. We exclusively carry High Level Health flower at all our locations.
The way we grow and our attention to detail has undoubtedly led to our record-breaking awards from local Colorado and Michigan competitions to massive, worldwide cannabis cups! Below you will find the definitions of the competitions we’ve participated in and how many awards to date we’ve won.
THC Classic – 19 awards
Rooster Magazine’s THC Classic is the only blind-judging cannabis competition in Colorado, which means, to avoid bias, all submissions are repackaged without any labels or branding before being given to the judges.
Each year, licensed dispensaries, wholesalers, and manufacturers all compete to see who has the best flowers, concentrates, edibles, vape pens, and infusions in the Colorado marketplace across 20 categories.
Each category has a panel of five judges, who meticulously review each strain, assigning an overall score based on a set of criteria (appearance, effect, potency, flavor, etc.). 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place were the highest scorings from their respective category; Grand Champions were awarded to the highest scoring of the four main categories (flower, concentrate, vape pen, and edible/infusions).
4/20 Concentrate Cup – 6 awards
Connoisseur Cup – 21 awards
Colorado’s Premier Cannabis & Concentrates Cup Every April, thousands of Cannabis Connoisseurs assemble in Denver Colorado for a jam-packed weekend of the ultimate Connoisseur experience, incredible products to judge, informative seminars, business-to-business networking, and parties galore!
The Cannabis Connoisseur Coalition introduces fans of The Connoisseur Cup to hundreds of the world’s finest cannabis products and vendors. The weekend concludes with the highly anticipated Connoisseur Cup awards show, where the Cup winners are announced.
Dope Cup – 2 awards
The DOPE Cup is an annual celebration of all things ganja that has been organized by the Seattle-based DOPE Magazine since 2015. It’s one of the top cannabis events and competitions in the world, bringing together marijuana enthusiasts from all walks of life for a day of shopping, new product launches, music performances, and of course lots and lots of smoking.
DOPE Cup is a consumption event, though you will find some industry representatives as well. This marijuana event is a stoner paradise, complete with mechanical joint riding, a dab bar, infused cotton candy, and lots of other edibles on offer. The highlight is the cannabis competition that draws cultivators and glass blowers from around the region and crowns them with the coveted DOPE Cup trophy.
Past judges have included heavy hitters like rapper Redman and industry legend, Adam Dunn. Contestants are judged on cannabis flower, edibles, topicals, concentrates, glasswork, and accessories, all broken down into categories such as judges’ choice, people’s choice (yup, you can pay to smoke and be a judge), best Indica, best Sativa, best hybrid, highest THC/CBD, best topical, best BHO THC/CBD, best edible drink, best edible sweet/savory, and more!
High Times Magazine – 1 award
The People’s Choice Editions is a new model that will continue High Times’ trend of bringing its signature series of cannabis product competitions online in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, without any live events or gatherings. These Cups will be the first-ever Cannabis Cups that are open to the public in each state where the competition is executed and will see the largest pool of judges in history.
For licensed brands, this is a sampling dream to get your products into the hands of hundreds of new customers who will provide feedback on your entries from home, plus thousands of impressions. May the best products win!

THC Championship – 70 awards
Hemp Connoisseur’s 2021 THC Championship -THE GOLD STANDARD OF CANNABIS COMPETITIONS
Since 2011, Colorado-based, Hemp Connoisseur Magazine has covered the emerging legal cannabis industries with a reputation for having integrity and style. It was this reputation that brought leading industry pioneers to approach us with a simple request: Could we create a completely unbiased cannabis competition, in which the best product really wins through a fair and thoughtful judging process? Sounds simple right? Well, simple isn’t always easy.
After countless interviews/sessions with some of the best producers, Colorado cannabis has to offer. (okay it was a pretty awesome research experience) the THC Championship was born. Short story, getting longer… We built this competition around what the industry wanted. Since its inception in 2012, Hemp Connoisseur’s THC Championship has cemented itself as the gold standard of cannabis competitions in Colorado. When a company takes home one of our coveted emerald glass trophies, those in the know understand there is no higher recognition than beating out the best of the best in a fair arena. If you want true bragging rights, this is the ultimate competition to enter.
