Tips for Planning a Marijuana Vacation in Colorado
The great state of Colorado is not only the center of recreational cannabis in the United States but is also home to the Rocky Mountains and all the outdoor activities that go along with having such an impressive mountain range in the backyard. We have the best of both seasons here in Colorado: the cross-country and downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and snow sports of the winter, and hiking, swimming, boating, bike riding, kayaking, etc. of summer.
420-Friendly Travel Ideas
Winter Vacation
A winter activity to try on your cannabis vacation would be a trip to one of the many ski resorts in the area. Make sure to remember that the ski resorts are on federal land though, so consume your cannabis before going to the resort. That doesn’t mean a day of fun can’t be had on the slopes just remember to always be responsible and never drive impaired.
Summer Vacation
In the summer months, the best way to enjoy a 420 vacation in Denver is to take a hike, literally! The mountains around Denver are full of amazing trails for hiking and mountain biking, and it’s a great way to get out and enjoy nature. Always remember to adhere to the rules about cannabis consumption anywhere you are, and if smoking is forbidden, edibles are a great way to enjoy cannabis while out and about.
If you love cannabis, then the first thing you will want to do is hit a dispensary to get some goodies! High Level Health has two locations in the Downtown Denver area which are conveniently located off of Colfax and one on Lincoln.
Please keep in mind that there are laws and limits regarding how much cannabis you can purchase or possess at any one time. Buying out the store sounds like a good time, but it is not allowed.

Make sure to verify that wherever you are staying allows cannabis consumption, and take a look at some of our cannabis-friendly hotel recommendations. There are many options for cannabis friendly lodging, but make sure your hotel is one before you find out the hard way in extra fees or getting kicked out. One of our favorite places to recommend is Adagio Bud and Breakfast.
