Cataract Kush High Up In The Mountains

Cataract Kush Cannabis Strain Review

Yo yo yo everybody thanks for stopping by for the next installment of our cannabis flower strain reviews. I’m Herb Hightower and I sample and then review some of the most awarded, most awesome marijuana on earth, grown and distributed by High Level Health. Today, we’re focusing on the neon green, skunk smell, super dope Cataract Kush buds.

With summer behind us and fall in full swing, I can’t help but think, man those fall leaves are pretty cool to look at. Maybe I’m getting old and the simple things in life are a little cooler but I spent the week getting high, literally and figuratively, up in the Rocky Mountains during peak Aspen season with my new bestie, Cataract Kush. As the aspen leaves and my buzz come crashing down to the ground it’s time to get busy and break down this heavy Indica flower to see what Cataract Kush has to offer from an appearance, aroma, taste, and effects of high standpoint.

Cataract Kush Cannabis Strain

Award-Winning Indica Cannabis

The lineage of Cataract Kush is the wonderful blend of LA Confidential and OG Kush with the latter providing the pungent aroma. This bad boy has a skunk type smell but not quite as dank as Blue Skunk. Along with the skunk, there are some hints of orange peel but not like a big orange, more like those Halos or Cuties. Needless to say this chronic smelled great, so great I sniffed until I sucked a leaf up my nose, true story. From an appearance standpoint, these nugs were short, squatty, neon green buds. Along with the green, there were hints of orange hairs and purplish, grey exterior leaves. These buds were straight-up furry with medium to high-level trichomes. When I have a clean glass pipe to review flower I like to take a puff or two before I spark a lighter. My pre-light hits were dry like white wine or champagne can taste. Once I lit the nugs they tasted like freshly cut wood smells, which was a weird sensation but maybe it was the whole mountain vibe thing going on. So, the million-dollar question you’re thinking is how good was the weed, right? I feel like the awards speak for themselves as this is one of the hottest, award-winning strains on the market with recent awards at the 420 Concentrate Cup, King Of Cups, and Connoisseur Cup. This strain provides an intense high with maybe the best out of the twenty-some strains I’ve reviewed so far at providing pain relief. You’re going to laugh but you know what activity I’d recommend this strain for most…..sleeping. That’s right, seriously crushed some of the best sleep I’ve ever had. Smoked it for a week before I wrote this review and had amazing sleep every night.

Bonus facts now that the review is covered, I always wondered what Kush and Cataract were all about. If you didn’t know either then wonder no more and soak in the knowledge. Apparently, the always strong Indica strain and term Kush comes from the Hindu Kush mountain range of Afghanistan where the strain originated and flourishes. On the flip side, a Cataract is the clouding of the clear lens of an eye and it’s basically like looking through a fogged-up window, fun fun. So, put those two together and you can get a sense of how incredibly awesome this pot is.

“See” you later,

Herb Hightower
